May 19, 2011 • On the 86th anniversary of the birth of the great revolutionary African leader, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz/Malcolm X, the Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Movement announces an international campaign to organize worldwide support for Mumia's release. With the Department of Justice having failed for two years to respond to our campaign for a civil rights investigation, we say, as Malcolm did in 1965, that the problem of the "black man in America ... should be taken out of the jurisdiction of the United States government and the United States courts" and taken into the international arena.
