The following is the English Translation of a statement issued by El Comité Apoyo Norberto González Claudio/The Norberto Gonzalez Claudio Support Committee about Norberto's current situation:
Greetings comrades,
Comrade Norberto González Claudio was MOVED 2 weeks to a higher securityprison and has been kept in solitary confinement. They have not allowed him totalk to his family or his lawyer. One week ago, Jan Susler began requestinginformation on his status and why he's been segregated, but was denied any response. As of now, we don't know how he is and why he was moved.
Father Roberto Morales contacted the family and reported that he was refusedvisitation and was told that Norberto's case is " a safety issue" and that it's a "sensitive" case.
Just a month a ago, Norberto was scheduled to be released on January 15, 2015. With only two months left, it is clear the US government is not interested in his release.
We want to warn everyone to stay tuned for what may happen with respect toNorberto. We request that you pass this information to your contacts and requestthat they do the same.
